Description

SH2-136 is the so-called ghost nebula in Cepheus at a distance of approx. 1500 light years. I think the other nebulae also look like ghosts - but the designated one is the brightest. On its right "arm" there is a globule with two porto-stars that were discovered in 1996. One of its components is suspected to be a double-star system. The ghost is mainly illuminated by the star central in its "head", though.
